How Much Does Art Commission Cost in Ireland?
At Artworld.ie we don’t work through galleries; we work directly with our clients. That means our overheads are lower, so you can get a real Oil Painting Art Commission for a lot less than you might imagine.
Once we know what you want to paint, the size, and the style, we will tell you the exact price before we start. This gives you complete transparency from the start.
To give you some idea of what to expect: For a very large painting, measuring 150cm /5 feet wide, that you choose from our collection, not a commission, that would be around €470. For the same size painting, as a commission, you are looking at around €570. That includes your painting and framing.
How Much Does Painting Portrait Commission Cost?
For a portrait, or any very detailed painting, the price is a bit more. You could expect to pay around the same, €570, but the painting would be smaller. This usually works well, as most people don’t want portraits to be so big anyway.
How Does the Commission Process Work?
Process for Commissioned Oil Paintings with Artworld.ie is simple and transparent:
- We discuss the subject you would like to paint. It could be a portrait, a place, or even something abstract.
- We discuss the style we will paint in. It could be a detailed brush painting, or a more Impressionist Palette Knife painting (most popular).
- We discuss the size of the painting.
- Once we are clear on the subject, style, and size of your painting, I can tell you the price before we do anything.
- If you are happy to proceed, we will take a deposit to start.
- Painting usually takes around 6 weeks.
- Once complete, we send you a photo of your painting for approval. Changes are possible, although often not necessary.
- Once you are happy, we frame your painting, deliver it, and hang it for you.
International Art Commissions with Artworld.ie
Artworld.ie often does Art Commissions for customers outside the Island of Ireland. We are especially experienced at creating beautiful Irish Landscape Art Commissions.
Everything is the same as for customers in Ireland, except for framing and delivery. Sending a framed Oil Painting by courier is too expensive. So we ship the painting rolled in a tube. And you can frame locally. Shipping to most parts of the world is around €50.
